One of my all-time favorite foods that Safeco Field offers is Uncle Charlie’s cheesesteaks complete with grilled onions, jalapenos, and new this year NACHO CHEESE SAUCE. Despite all of the incredible new offerings at Safeco you may be wondering how this is possible. How is a cheesesteak in my top five when Safeco boasts Seattle favorites that include Din Tai Fung, Poquitos, and Great State Burgers to name a few? There is something beautiful about walking along the concourse and smelling the aroma of steak and veggies before even seeing the blue and yellow stand. The sounds and smells of Uncle Charlie’s are as much a part of baseball as the crack of the bat or the smell of fresh cut grass. I guess for me the answer is easy Uncle Charlie’s is Mariners baseball.
If you find yourself hungry at Safeco Field don’t just go for options with name recognition but instead explore the road less traveled. You can find Uncle Charlie’s in sections 115, 140, and 333.
